About

Meet Jennephyr.

Jennephyr stumbled onto her yoga path in 2006 while seeking release from the stress of a demanding career and connection to her new life in Phoenix.  It was in Phoenix where Jennephyr got her first taste of Vinyasa Flow.  She fell in love with the fluid sequencing of this style and her capacity to get swept into a moving meditation, using the breath to quiet her mind, release the body and elevate her soul.  This discovery created a profound change in Jennephyr’s health and perspective both on and off the mat.  In 2009, she left her demanding career in corporate America to devote her life to the path of yoga, completing her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2010 at Urban Yoga in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jennephyr delivers thoughtful instruction designed to open the heart, center the mind & strengthen the body.  Her classes combine Vinyasa flow with a focus on alignment and connecting to the present moment through the breath.  Jennephyr embraces various yoga traditions and philosophies, deepening her understanding of yoga as a way of life, and bringing a richness and authenticity to her teaching.  Her goal as a teacher is to cultivate a space where yogis can be themselves, quiet their “mind stuff” and have fun while building strength, flexibility and balance.  Jennephyr especially enjoys helping those who are just starting on the path to ease into a new way of moving and thinking. As a student of yoga herself, she continues to push her inner and outer limits, evolving her own personal practice while bringing new ideas + techniques to each class.

“Yoga is a valuable tool for connecting to your true self, teaching you to be present in the moment on and off the mat.”

- Jennephyr

Jennephyr welcomes everyone to practice yoga with her and is delighted to share what she has learned from each of her brilliant teachers, passing on their light, illuminating the path of yoga for her students.

Peace.

It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.

It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
